... it could be an idiot question for you but I stopped to have information about it some months ago...

... RunUo's source will be released or not? will it be an open source project?

I'm asking cause I'm going to create a new 3d client for ultima online, using open source engine we hope to make UO live another 5-6 years...

We know that the graphic of a game like that doesn't matter... but in Ultima Online there is already a division of the game itself and it's grafic...
... cause it's a client/server game.
Doing a new client won't alter the game... and should be a big idea to improve it "appreciation" by the new "users" (the new generations).

I thinked months ago that with the release of the runUo source and a lot of work... me and my friends should create a new client for UO.

If anyone every had an idea like that or knows someone that is doing the same thing, please contact me writing on this post first of all.

P.S. If the source will never be open, I think that we could also do the client..
But WHERE should I found the ultima online server (like runuo for example) IN/OUT comunication map?
(Code... syntax... comunication bases... etc)

Cause some months ago RUNUO sent me an e-mail announcing it would began an open-source server for Ultima online.

And he sent me a POLL too in wich there were 400 votes and the open source choice was winning on the NON open source voice 57% VS 40%

After that RunUO nerver sent me other e-mails.

So I was wandering that the poll was an important thing, but it seemed to have'nt any importance for the RunUO staff.

No. The source code will NOT be released. Do not ask again.

RunUO's code would NOT help you write a client (RunUO was started to TEST krrios' client)
