Do I need to have UO AoS to be able to go to malas?

i think if oyu update your uo clinet, you get the malas map, but i know in the publicmoongate.cs script it prohibits you entering through moongates, but that can be changed

well there are no regions thus the malas go locations are not present on the menu.

You have to change the map by hand.

Hrm... how would you do that? I tried something stupid, I thought oh look I can go into Malas [add teleporter and set it to send me to Malas, one problem, it didn't like my idea to much

Do a [PROPS on yourself and go to the option 'map' ... hit the little gold arrow and send yourself to Malas. I would recommend doing it towards the center of one of the original maps so you begin close to the middle of Malas. Have fun

So its actuarly possible to go to malas whitout AOS? does anyone know this for sure?
if its true ill go patch uo as soon as i get home.. (in school now)

No you dont get Malas map without AOS.

yea when you patch to the latest you do get malas map...on osi however you cannot do anything that is in aos untill you upgrade your account to aos...this includes making any of the new characters or going to the new lands ....though i think they are fixing it so you can still go to the new lands just not make the new characters i have added an xml that gives some go locations for the malas area.... http://www.runuo.com/discussion/viewtopic.php?t=5919

True, you cannot do anything without AoS, but hey, who's doing the scripting here? Not OSI. We'll do what we want, the skills are defined anyways, just set your necromancy up, create the necro regents, and then spawn the books and scrolls!
