Modifing gump files.... - RunUO

Hi all!
Sry for my bad English but i'm from Italy
I have learned that I can modify a lot of files from the game files!
I mean: I can save a .bmp of an artwork or a gump from InsideUO, then i can modify it and then i can reinsert it in the game.
One question....
How can i bring back to the game the .bmp new files?
Should i use some programs?
And if yes, how can i use them? Unfortunatly i didn't found any guides!
