Frustration, looking for assistance. - RunUO

I have searched these pages and book marked alot of them on methods to create my own server and have it set for 2 others to log on from different locations, but none of this has worked for me, I am behind a router, a D link DI-604.

I have downloaded mrfix it's new style serverlist.cs, I have gone into my admin settings for my router and went into the virtual server, advance tab and enabled internet users to connect to my lan with 2593. Ive registered with uog, but get a missing webpage error? do you have to have one?.

My goal here is to create a server with 2 other people I played uo with for many years, then bring it up for people to play on.. any ideas what my steps should be?

Your getting a missing webpage error, so create one and put that down.

You won't be able to add your shard wthout a site, simple as that.

Your sure you port forward 2593 to your server's local network address?

You have to have a valid website to be added to the UOG List.

If you don't have a valid website, it most likely will be removed in time.

Suggest you read my entire post before you claim I am wrong, because I am 100% right this time, just like I am most of the time.

Alright I followed the D link method of opening ports, I had the wrong IP in the private box, now that thats done, do I give out my private IP to my friends to try to log on using uog?

If someone could coach me through a bit here, my icq is 54345979, or msn at bjburns19@hotmail.com

You would give them your ip, anything private wouldn't allow them access to your server.

You give out the WAN IP of your computer system. Look in Mr. Fixit's serverlist for a mirror that has dydns in it, go to that site and on it should be the correct IP. Also, if you get rid of all the mirrors except for the dydns one, then your shard should automatically assign itself to the proper IP address.

Ok, It works fine for me, but still my buddy cant log on using uog, by putting in the IP himself, its not on the public list, does it have to be for him to try to log on using uog?.

I went here to get the new file Artifacts not spawning the new IP i give out was the one i obtained from www.whatismyip.com
am i doing this correct so far? ive been toying with this for over a week now and dont seem to get why it wont work, I apprecite your time and patience in advance,

Also that serverlist.cs file i downloaded I just replaced it in my scripts folder and overwrite the previous one, I didnt make any changes to the file using notepad at all, should I have?
