Default 4.0.5a aka SE support begins

Patch Sizes
T2A : ~84MB
UOTD : ~48MB
LBR 2D : ~49MB
LBR 3D : ~43MB
AoS 2D : ~48MB
AoS 3D : ~26MB

If patched correctly, your current version will display 4.0.5a for both clients. If you have any difficulty receiving this patch, please check the following:

Check the "Patch" directory within your Ultima Online directory (the default location is C:\Program Files\Ultima Online\Patch). This directory should be empty. Any files in this directory should be deleted. If you are unable to connect to the patch server at all, and are using an original (Non-T2A) version of Ultima Online, you may need to update your verinfo file. For details on updating this file, please see the information posted at http://support.uo.com/tech_6.html.

Run a virus scan on your computer. Undetected viruses may cause conflicts with patching Ultima Online. For information on up-to-date virus detection software, please visit http://www.mcafee.com/myapps/vso/default.asp.

If after trying the above, you are still experiencing difficulty patching the Ultima Online client, please visit this web page.

When you go to patch be SURE you restore you Login.cfg to it's original form.
Otherwise patching will fail. (You can just restore the file, restart the patch, and it'll be fine)

Once it's installed, UOGateway and Razor will still work.

The new weapons, armour, clothing, monsters, etc will be viewable in the normal client.

The new weapons, armour, clothing but NOT monsters will be viewable in KUOC.

I don't see why you would though?

Everything will be written by the Dev Team themselfs.

I mean all the moderators work for UO Gamers, so they have to code it for Demise anyhow so :lol: why even bother doing the work?

Why not work on something that won't be done?

Some people want stuff quicker (See the Paragon scripts and Doom Arty scripts).

Just pray that if you make a custom version it'll work with RunUO down the line ;->

Mainly because I get bored easily and like to have things to do when I hit a tough part in my other scripts. I usually have 3-4 scripts that I am working on at once so that I don't get bored. These are seperate from the other things I am working on as well.

What can I say, I'm a work-a-holic and when not working 4 12 hour days for my job, I am coding one thing or another!

So is it safe to say that if you have UO:AOS you won't need to purchase UO:SE in order to get the new map and items/npc's? I don't want to have to go out and get a new version if it's not necessary. Thanks.

Nope, not safe to say that. You only get graphics that allow you to view items that people who do have UO:SE might bring to other parts of the world other than Tokuno Islands. Still have to buy UO:SE to get map and anything special for UO:SE

Well, when the dev versions come out down the line, it wont be too hard to remove the custom systems. The only real downside is that six RunUO versions down the line, you will still see questions about that custom system, even though its been in the release for a dog's age.

I believe I received the same error. After the initial donwload, it mentions something like, you can cancel and continue to play... I did a fresh install of AOS, and then did the patch. Worked well. I believe it's a way to check for installations that have benn altered.

That's what I did. I totally re-installed AOS, that let the patches fly. I also just renamed my old /ultima online 2D folder to be safe..

I'm guessing the only two things you will be missing is the map and the monsters if you only patch up. Assuming they allow you to use the new tile pieces in custom houses on any map and assuming the monsters only spawn in the knew land(would make sense). That sound right?

The only thing missing is the map and statics for the feudal lands.
