New Forum Users

I'm thinking it would be a good/reasonable idea to move the old registered users to the new forum. Do you think this would be possible/good? Or maybe the devs want to wipe the users as well as the posts.

Lets let Ryan decided what he wants to do.

But if you read his post, its clear that this is already planned and was planned.

Here is the main problem.
When new forums come up and some people havn't logged on yet, other people who are logged on are going to start stealing names. Not to be rude or anything phantom, but i think your enemys might do this. Though ryan should make it clear on the move no nickname stealing. Anyone cought --> Banned!

See, I think that he should keep the User SQL entries and just forget about the post entries so this doesn't happen.

You have no idea what your talking about.

Don't worry about it, I am not scared of losing my username, mainly I know more then you do.

I am going to report this post, simple fact, it has possible false information being expressed like its fact.

How is it false information? I'm not saying its a fact there is a high possibility its going to happen with how many ppl visit runuo and get pissed off with others. What other way to get sweet revenge other than taking there username? Hmm?
Thus, what do you mean I don't know what I'm talking about?

How I read this post its sounding like he is asking if the current user base will be moved to the new forum.

1. Ultimatly it is all the devs decision, more than likely they will all pass it down to ryan to decide. So guess what? No one is telling Ryan what to do.

Seven, I never thought about people taking others names, but you bring up a reasonable point. No one has ever mentioned anything about user names that I have seen. What kind of stuck up comment is "mainly I know more then you do"? Maybe you just know different cause maybe Seven knows that you should have said than instead of then.

It's cause phantom gets his jollys off thinking he's better than everyone else and thinking he knows more than any1 else, so he reports any post he doesn't like. just do like every1 else does just ignore him

People are talking about usernames being lost, when they don't even know whats planned.

Its a pointless discussion.

I mean its very clear that the forum is going to be transfered and it has not been made clear if Ryan will clean up the forum or not.

It is Ryan's decision to make overall, it does take more work to save all the usernames, and that is up to him overall.

Why dont we just end the conversation on it, because it went downhill fast.

1) I said that in the first place, yet people are giving him advice and telling people to worry about losing their account.

I have not made people turn away from RunUO, if that was the case this community would not growing as I type this.

I have already reported several posts in this thread, doesn't bother me if its one of mine, because honestly I didn't do a damn thing wrong and you know it.
