If you search my posts you can see that I am dedicated to having these fixes, but unfortunately psz or phantom think they can solve it. They tried but after a few weeks of thinking about it I realized what they ment by RunUO does what the client supports.
First: I remember exceptional weapons for Pre: AoS displayed different. Exceptional Clothing/Weapons/Armor/Items looked like this: exceptional whatever Crafted by whoever When I first submitted this phanton or psz told me thats the way the client supports it but if I remember correctly RunUO displays old Pre: T2A exceptional items but without the chunky font. If you remember this please say you do and don't just leave the thread. I also remember seeing Evocare running through anything like walls and such on OSI Test Center, psz or phantom told me that the client didn't allow that. My only thing that can possibly contradict that is if your customizing a house, how is it that you can walk through those walls without the client holding you back? I think if there would be a command that would make yourself similiar to as if you were customizing a house you would be able to run through walls. If you believe this is possible please say you do and don't just leave the thread. Last but not least, weapon sounds. I remember some weapon sounds were really different on some weapons, like the bardiche sounds like a halberd when its suppose to sound like a war fork. The long sword sounded like a kryss and not like a broadsword. I *think* viking sword is wrong too. If you remember this please say you do and don't just leave the thread. |

There isn't a command to run through walls, actually there is just invloves editing the verdata.mul and enable an internal feature. Weapon noises are right, if you really think they are wrong post the correct sound, don't tell us its wrong and expect us to believe you without prove. Don't argue with me, I have the right to disagree with you, I really don't want to argue with you. Mainly because its pointless. |

The client does not send a walk request packet when you are trying to walk through a static object. Thus there is no way to allow staff to walk through walls, unless you use KUOC and there was special implementation in RunUO for it.

Eddie, you are, for the most part, correct. The bardichie did not sound like a haldberd, it did sound like a warfork. The way weapons were displayed has changed many times. When I first joined (just as trammel was released) the weapons were displayed in a sort of fat, all lower case, gray font. Then, after a while, it was changed to a strictly numerical display, with different colors corresponding to different properties (such as durability, accuracy and damage buffs). This only lasted a short while, and I would imagine few remember it, then, around the time LBR was released, it was changed to what you see on RunUO now. As for walking through walls, I can't verify this for sure, but I do seem to remember seeing something similar to what you are talking about. It could, however, have been what the other poster said; the teleporting thingy.

I see the point...and I do remember thinking they were off...
It's not a huge deal for me though...when I played it was for killing stuff...not how things looked... The only thing I can't vouch for is the walking threw walls...I don't get it... |

Look what you JUST said:
If you edit your multis. That's the point. The client READS THAT INFO to determine what is and isn't walkable. BY DEFAULT (IE: A normal install of UO), you cannot walk through walls. This isn't a server issue. It is a client issue. Always has been, always will be.
