Default UOBuild - WorldBuilder 1.3.0 for RunUO 17 - fixed Version 2

Hello WorldBuilder users

Finally i can release the promised UOBuild WorldBuilder Version 1.3.0 for RunUO 17
This time it is a really big update.. i spend today and yesterday for a Dye/Color Dialog ( Thanks to Krrios for helping me at the converting of 16bpp -> 32bpp formula)

I also improved the Spawn Menu, when you click on a new mobile then this dialog gets updated..

I have to say thanks to IxildorRS, who took some of the xml work and saved me plenty of time. He also told me bugs and new features, so do not just thank me but also him

the char files have a new attribute called offset this is important for the char previews so that they fit right

also the wanted minimize to system tray was realized, you can close uobuild by clicking on Exit:


All in one this is a big release with many new features... I hope you like it and i get many feedback. The design of UOBuild WorldBuilder will probably changing because i got a gfx guy and will remove the big, styleless buttons..

I will provide you in some days with more updated items and chars files..

UPDATE:

i fixed the travel tab bug and added a teleport button

UPDATE 2:

Send Button added - Teleport button is now for [tele
Color Dialog choose now right color and not the color before
ItemTweak Tab quick set works now well
Char Tweak: Strengh set/get didnt work
you cant set yourself poisened because this is only readable
double click on item/char list adds the item/char
on changing location in map the zoom will be the same as before
icon disposes in taskbar now

i have to add 2 points:

1) you should check if your uoart and uomap active x plugins are that new ones, i noticed that i had some old ones after using a different gm tool, and then i couldnt see new lbr mobiles..

I'm having trouble as well getting there. The download request times out.

But a right click and "Save As" is fine.

NK - There is a problem under the travel tab. I dont know if you noticed or not but heres the example I used and Ill step by step it for you.

I clicked the travel tab, selected Ilshenar / Cities / Ancient Citadel / Entrance -

Hit "Go"

And then I get an error on screen -
"Format: NewXYZ <x> <y> <z>"

Im guessing you just have the travel format wrong, *obviously* yea where's my sign? (if you didnt get that, sorry lol Little down south humor)

Other than that, this program is very sexy, and super handy. Reminds me of axis, which is a VERY big compliment if you ask me.

I will continue to find things, and come up with idea's for you mate. Ill PM you idea's I have.

ok news:

- i will release today a fixed uobuild 1.3.0 so that travel but shouldnt be there any more..
the problem is i used kommas between x,y,z
i will add a teleport button for newxyz and the go button will use now only go..

- i will also work on the colors of the previews so that the chars have the right colors

- custom and launcher tab will be added soon

I found two problems (bugs?):
1)Item tweak's combobox produces a command line like "[set hue system.windows.forms.combobox..."
2)Char Tweak's "Strenght" property can't be found (have to be "str"?).

Last, when i try to close XP with UOBuild in system's tray it can't close the program (so system don't shutdown).

yes thanks for the bug reports, i will fix that
at that combobox i think i just forget to use combobox.text...

IxildorRS, my great beta tester and helpful hand, found about 5 other bugs.. but i have to say uobuild gets better and better..

i would also like to see new ideas if you got some..if not then i got more time for a new tool, but it will be a surprise till its first release, it will be also a helpful hand for shard admins

I am thinking about putting all the admin stuff like that generate things on a new tab so there is new place for other things on general tab, what do you think?

ok i have a couple suggestions id like to see ..

1) make it (if possable that the tool can read your runuo scripts thus eliminating the need to update the xml files all the time...)

2) an Admin button ( [admin for support of quinox admin menu)

3) one thing i noticed on the color pallete (greatwork btw )
but it is one off the actual color for instance you have a blue square you have to click on the color square just right of it to get that color....

4) show spawners in travel map

thats about all i can think of right now but otherwise great job on the tool

Since I will be helping NK I might be able to comment on a few things

an Admin button ( [admin for support of quinox admin menu)

The tool will allow you to add new buttons. By default that menu uses the "admin" command so yes the button should be there since the who list has a reference to the admin command as well.

3) one thing i noticed on the color pallete (greatwork btw )

This is true in the hue mul, however I will tell him about the offset.

its because 0-2999 is "3000 hue colors" 2999 must be blank...so its always one off. Since Hue 0 is the default color :-) most of the time.

4) show spawners in travel map
This will be very tough without a better way organaize spawners and since a spawner is saved into a binary format its going to be tough to located them. However, if admins were willing to use a command to make an xml file then we might be able to do this. Again, I will talk to NK about it.

My suggestions:
Travel map synchronized with client (at least while using UOB to travel)
Double click on the item's (& char's) list to fast create, instead to manually click on create.

I don't know how it can be hard to code, are just ideas :P.

I don't think there is a event for the listbox he uses for this. This I doubt is possible, i have used listboxes before I am not aware of it.

I noticed with the fixed version, every time you change a location (travel tab) the map display resets to "max" zoom...

Takes about 10+ clicks to zoom out and figure out where its at :P

I was thinking an account manager that reads from xml file and u can make new ones, if this is possible like connecting to server comp then login and open account file in a grapich version.

Also add new entrys in items,spawns and travel.

Also a spawn menu at items.

Or if there was an server tab, with a few options, first need to login remotly or locally, then there could be save, restart/save and stuff like that, here u could also have account manager.

@ Admin_V:

I contacted you several times about new uobuild updates..this time i didnt and now you seem to post..lol

1) i still try to look for a good method of that..it is easy to parse things but what do i do when the constructor needs parameters?

2) Yes right, i will change anyway some things on general tab, quinox made a great admin menu.

3) each hue is displayed in a 8x4 pixel square..they have to be so small so that all fit on one dialog..do you know a better solution for realizing that? Or did i missunderstand you?

4) hm the question is how do i know where the spawners are? I know perhaps another idea for realizing that but that answer follows at the end of this post..

@ TILT: I try to learn memory hacking at the moment, when i am familar with that then i can read the positions, or do you know a better idea how to solve that?

You destroyed my surprise for the new tool, do you know that? :twisted:

My next tool will be a tool to connect remotely to it, this tool can start, stop the server and also show you errors of the server and the logs and the output of it..you also can read accounts and many more features..

if anybody got now ideas for that please use pms for messaging me, because there is no right thread for it up to now

I can seem to get the "Add Static" button to work. The number pops up when u click on an item...even ones that came with the program. But it gives u an error saying that its an invaild command. And if you do get Add static button working...a Tile static button would be nice also. I say this cause i world build by using insideuo...since alot of items just arnt scripted. Thanks

you have to select an item in the list to make it static. so if no item is selected it, you cant an item..

is there a tile static command for runuo? i dont think so..
