Default Yet another router issue

The router i'm using is a netgear MR814v2. Players can connect just fine to my server (which is a seperate machine) but when I try to connect, I lag out after 2 seconds. I've forwarded the router for my server to 192.168.0.2:2593. My gaming machine is running on 192.168.0.3. My serverlist.cs is set to gathorn.servegame.com:2593 and I can connect using either the DNS or LAN IP, but can't stay logged in with either. could it be that my router is just too old and sucks? Any help would be appreciated.

I've noticed in the past that depending on how I had my server/network set up, I could only stay connected if I used the internet DNS/IP, but not the local. In another situation, I had to use the Local *ONLY*, because (from inside my network), the internet DNS/IP wouldn't work.

Also make sure Windows Firewall/Norton Internet Security/PCCillin Firewall/etc are set to allow the traffic through (Shouldn't be an issue if people outside of your network can connect)

Can you stay connected if you run UO from the same machine as RunUO?

Yes, I am able to stay connected that way. And I thought it would be similar to your situation, but sadly I can't connect either way. I have disabled all firewalls.
