I didn't know where to post so i've done this here, i have a question
![]() If i start to script something for a shard i usually try to make sure the scripts i add go into the shard without effecting other scripted systems, just me playing it safe and kinda helps with adding or removing scripted systems. I've been thinking about a new idea where i want to attach a variable to each player or playermobile, but... i don't want to upset the player mobiles that are already in the shard. I could modify the player mobile script but i don't want to have to do that since i wanted to release the scripts at a later date so they just drop into shards script folder and run with the players each shard already had. Just wondered what would be the best way to do this ??? All i wanted was a couple of extra variables associated with each players character, and those new variable's to link to each exsisting player already in the shard once the scripts are added to a shards script folder. It's an infection system... i want to give players the flu, or black death or even the pox, which in turn effects there stamina or other skill or stats. Thanks in advance ![]() |

Hmmm, i did think of that type of way around it. Looks like i might give it a try and see what happens.
I also wanted the extra info on the player to be shown when others mouse pointers move over them which was why it had to be fixed to a player. Something like when there young, you see the player name, then young next to it type idea... Like 'Fred (Young), Pox Type : Swamp Fever, Pox level : 75%' I'll have a play around and see what i can come up with tho, and i'll still check here for idea's. I'd like something like what the kirrios client does and show some extra details along the lines of the resists but rather the infection details on mouse over.
