Hello.
I make for my shard custom gump. Gump # 9001 It gump what you see when you execute UO.exe. But when i start UO gump not change. I dont know WHY? I uses search & find some threads where saing what New UO client not support Verdata. So im wondering how i can give this patch to anyone who play in my shard? I read what it can be done with MUOTool. But i dont know how. Please explain and maybe show me how i can do this. Thx. |

This is true .. newer clients dont support Verdata.mul any longer. If you wish to use your changes you have in your verdata you will have to extract them from it. If you didnt save your orginal artwork/gumps etc before putting them into a verdata.mul.
To extract you can do this using Inside Uo by changing the file paths.. Inside UO will still allow you to view your verdata.mul for extracting your work .. You can also use "Uo Mul editor" to also extract your work from your verdata.muls and also using the mul editor to re-incert your art work / gumps etc or even use a tool called "Mulpatcher" for re-adding your art / gumps. To set these files up for a patch i would recommend checking Uogateway's website on how to set up your patch for your players. Last i check there they had a rather detailed post on how to set up your *.mul files for patching. Hope this helps |

Thx but i mean if i make modify in my gump.mul & gumpidx.mul and archive they. So i get RAR or ZIP archive with size much of 10mb. And i gues this archive nobody won't load.
I need know how i make file with little size and then post it to my player. (I DO NOT USE UOGATEWAY) I wrote somwhere what MUOTool can do it. But i dont know how. I try but get only file.muo And what them make with it i dont know(( |

Open MUOTool
Import verdata (or the .uop) uncheck 'patch to verdata' in each section save as .muo rar the .muo upload rar to a file host insert the shiney new rar url into the patch url on uog ConnectUO will soon have .muo support I hear. Either way you can have your clients use the .muo on a local listing on uog. edit: just as an aside, .muo has about the same small file-size of a verdata. So its a quick download. But uog will appear to hang after patching - leave it alone. Its taking the *.mul from your uo dir, pasting it into a uog folder and applying the .muo changes to it to result in a full sized *.mul with your changes in it for your players. Nay ..if your planning on doing it without help of a connecting agent like uogateway or connectuo.. you'll need to use like winzip or winrar and compress down the *.mul/*.idx files . There maybe other and better compressions that you may look in to by doing a google search. Other then that .. you could turn it into a *.torrent file ..butthen your players would need a torrent file downloader.

Ok. I try make Patch with MUOTool but when i add him in UO folder nothing not happen.
Then i take path for WINGS and try with him but again nothing. How need add this patch in local computer?? If i have this patch and want add him in my mul files? What need DblClick? Or how? I never work with muo files... When i make DblClick i got Message what #Couldnt find ModifyUO.cfg. Using defaut options#. The OK. And got messgae #Make patch?# If OK got message #Patch complete#. |
