Default UO Free Servers and your opinions

Hi, I recently started using the UO free servers. The servers I'm using are UOGamers: Hybrid and Aedilis. I'd like the people who read this to mention something about the server/shard their using (server type, pros/cons, pvp/rp, etc.) Since I'm using the UOGamers: Hybrid server, you can even try to compare other servers to it.

p.s.: I should've known not to post anything relevent in a category that starts with "STARBUCKS@RUNUO.COM"

free server vary wideley out there

from OSI clone, to UO:R to those all ready trying to emulate KR and everything in between

Mine Has some RP, Some PvP, and a whole lot of customization
from the races (21 of them) to classes, prestige classes, level system, Ore, Logs, Crystals (and more) to the crafting system
over 300 Arti's, customized graphics, deco's etc
Even the Tokuno map has been replaced with a map that is all dungeons

never played on uo gamers at all, so can not compare mine to theirs
but i think mine is better

but my shard is not ment for everybody either
that is why free shards are so great - you can look around until you find a place you like - and then call it HOME

Asking the pros and cons is a good start. I would look for a few things before i made a shard my home.

1. I would look at how long the shard was up and running. The age of the shard will tell you if the owner is in it for the long haul. uogamers is a good choice "being ran by run uo team" . With one to many one hit wonders that pop up and the owners get bored and shut it down. It hurts the Freeshard community being labled as unstable. Look for shards that have been up and running for awile. with shards being up and running from 1+ years to over 6+ years you have plenty of options.

2. Staff age, a shard being ran and hosted by younger players is a fun place to pvp its also a possability of being a corrupted shard. Staff using modified armor and items to be the best on the shard they run "it does happen" So look at the age of the staff. A mature will look at the issues at hand and come to a solution that best fits the problem.

3. This is the most important of them. Stability, Look at a shards up and down time by reading the shards forums. Most players dont hold back and post stuff with "Omg the shard crashed again". If you look at a shard and you see tons of crash posts i would say its not a stable shard for big game play.

4. Save times , Not a big issue but some people dont like being frozeen in place for long periods of time. Player base and bandwidth are in this same listing. Look at every aspect of a freeshard

Small playerbase can be fun , same with large player base look for what you want in a shard. Customs to clones and older versions. Freeshard community has just about anything you can imagine. Hell i even seen a shard once that had tanks on it lol .
