Thank You RunUO Community

Hey folks,

I have been a member of RunUO since June 10, 2004. I know people would look at my status and wonder why I have not posted much, and, frankly it is because I am still not entirely server savy. I simply do not have much time availible to become an expert on anything UO related. I hate wasting anyone's time with bad advice, etc.

This post, however, is not about advice, or knowledge. This post is a 'thank you' to this entire community. A few years ago, when I first joined, there was a lot of flaming, and harsh criticism of people who were not 'experts'. Some time back, Ryan, and a few of his partners, instituted a new policy in their community standards that really changed RunUO. It is awesome to see people asking questions and not being harrassed, belittled, and generally degraded.

Not only did the community embrace the new standards, but, they stuck to it. Over the past couple of years, this community has become one of the tightest, most cohesive technical blog / communities I have ever experienced. I am glad that the few bad apples of the past did not discourage me enough to quit, otherwise I would have missed out on this amazing hobby.

Yes, but I don't mysteriously disappear every few days.
