Tsk tsk. He was willing to pay for the information, LG

OrBSydia is a great resource, though. Lots of good info over there.

for $20 i'll tell ya where to get a map making program....

lol im just kidding.

try ryandor.com
Im still stuck on Dragon. I wasnt comfortable using UO Landscaper specially having to do elevations on a different bmp file. Just seems easier to use dragon and touch up the map with world forge.

with UOL you have 2 maps - 1 for terrain type and 1 for elevation

in your zip folder should have been a bmp for paint shop that also had an "index" in there to say what the colors ment for terain level

there are 3 "types" of altitudes - land, water and other - then there is a couple of reserved ones
each one is a jump of 5' in level from -115 to 115 if i remember right
so look at the chart and land level 60 = xx color

remember it is not actualy the color that is used - but its position on on the list of a 256 color list

can also use grey scale bmps for it too - just have to make use to use the rught "number"

Don't forget Ryandor.com . In my opinion, a better source for map specific stuff because that's basically all the site focuses on.

we posted new shots of Genesis Tonight, for those interested in a uo map editor, we've got a small group of core members testing it now to help build transion sets, so we're very close to a release.
