Am not new to uo I have been playing for a year or so. However the server I played on was smaller. So am not use to some of the things on the runuo 2.0 server.
My question is, is there a guide to running a shard? Or some useful information about what others have done on the servers like where they places monsters and quests and thing in the nature. As well is there a way to disable (for now) the other maps; Felucca, LLshenar, Malas? As I dont have very many players and am trying to make the server look fuller then it is. Any help would be great. Joey Lockie Cheers¿ |

The forums are the best guide to dealing with RunUO, there is also a wiki around somewhere.
As far as spawner and quest placement it is pretty much up to you as a shard owner to put everything where you want it. |

There isnt a guide to my knowledge on how to run a server but there are alot of good people here that have alot of good information about running a server, best thing to do is talk to alot of people and come up with what you think would be best for your server.
Check out the quests for places to put certain creatures and just places that might be good for other things, there are alot of quests that gives the locations of where the creatures and quest givers should be placed, thats a good start there. You can edit the gates to other facets in your moongate script, the sextant has to be changed as well and i think something else, its been a long time since I have done that but check the forums there are alot of posts about doing what you want. Good luck with your server.. |

Ok then I have a few question for you all.
1) Item decay for items in the house. Is there a way to stop it or make it longer? I have read a few post but there doesnt seem to be a clear cut anwser on this issue 2) Spawning, I was thinks about for cats and dog and other city animals of creating one section in each town for them but making there range long thoughts? |

2) with the spawners you can set the max distance from the spawner, so if you wanted, you could make a spawner in the center of every town, place say, 10 dogs, 10 cats with the spawn set where spawn distance is 50 and max range 50, depending on how big the city is, and set the time to your liking, (i think this is what you were thhinking about) |

House Decay can be toggled on or off.
Scripts/Multis/BaseHouse.cs Code: public const bool DecayEnabled = false; If it's true (default) houses decay after a certain time.
