The (people) models looks so grotesquely unhuman. (they look almost the same as the ones from TD).
The environment... pastely and shit. Less "real" colors, more dreamyish foggyish misty colors. The proportions also seem off. I like the lightning tho. its so funny cause the legacy client looks like a damn cartoon compared to this at least this has a more dark and fantasy ' ish look to it. i think the legacy client was starting to look a little dumb with the way they're 2d animation were like 5 or 6 frames at least the KR client has some fluidity to it... It scrolls smooth and the anime's and such look WAY better. |

The KR Client needs more work on it. There are quite a but of things wrong with the client. I tried it for a couple of days and realized how much more work needs finished. And it is true that this is a publicity stunt. The actual client looks less attractive than that. Otherwise it would be a masterpiece. -RS

the problem is that the original UO client was done in true isometric view with the 2d sprites. there exsists a problem with trying to do a true isometric view inside a 3d engine of it looking like crap and everything out of proportion. most 2d games were done in either an oblique view or a 3/4 view but UO was not.
thats why no real 3d game will do a true isometric view, they simply look like crap. what EA-Austin should do is convert it over to a 3/4 view rather than trying to a true isometric inside a 3d engine. it would of course change all the angles, but you are seeing why 3d engines dont use a true isometric perspective. |
