I have created a basic map and I have been tring to plug it into the server, but whever I log into the server it is not there, everything is just water. I have read many tutorials for different programs and they all give me the same results. I really could use some help here.

Well, I have been using different programs but none of them work. One showed me how to make a .bmp map of a world then I would upload it and 3 files into a folder in Runuo, then copy the same files into the working directory for the game.
Now I have 2 different folders, 1 is for the shard that I currently am playing on and the other is the shard I am working on. I use razor to get into my shard and a normal .exe to get into the shard's game. But like I said I can't get any of the programs to do what the tutorials say, and I don't know what to do. Right now the .bmp map is only of grass, deep and shoreline water nothing else. Tring to get it to work then do some editing. Would love to get someone to work on the maps and show me how to do things, as I am tring to make my shard as a learning experience. |

well i created a folder in runuo. in the directory for the game there was no such files anywhere so I just placed them in the top of the folder. I had downloaded kingdom reborn and installed it into the a folder and that is teh folder i've been working out of.

Did you edit the datapath.cs?
This is where you direct runuo to where your custom map files are, but if you are just putting them in you Ultima Online folder then it should work. The line that would have to be edited is: Code:
private static string CustomPath = null; |
