Oooh...what's that? - RunUO

So, I've got my server up and running pretty much how I'd like it, but I haven't played Live in quite some time (t2a era), and found all sortsa random cool things I'd like to ask about

Spellweaving Book? And then I found some scrolls I could pop into that: Wildfire, Dryad Allure, Arcane Power...what are these fun things? They're disabled, and I'm not really too interested in getting them enabled (or I'd be in server/script support! :P), but I was curious as to what they were

Also, lots of equipment is "Elven Only"...is there any "Human Only" equipment, or is it silly for people to roll a non-elf character? And lots of the equipment appears to be...out-of-place in the 2d client, but apparently the 3d client is no longer supported/no longer works? Interesting.

Anyway, basically, if anyone feels like running through some of the neater features that I've missed out on and for some reaon can't find a ton of info on (the samurai and ninja pages on stratics are surprisingly bare!), I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, feel free to laugh and mock me at your hearts content.

Don't bother with any features that were added post-2002.

Spellweaving is the practice of the Arcanists, there are some very powerful and interesting spells in that system. I trust you noticed Bushido and Ninjitsu too, again, they are very nice, powerful features that give you some more spells and weapon abilities for the SE weapons.

Personally, I don't have Elves on my server, so i took out all of the code that made certain items Elves-Only :P I use a more diverse selection of races.

Ahh, so why is the spellweaving stuff disabled? Is it just not actively supported, or not a built-in feature of RunUO at the time and requires server owners to script it in themselves?

It's not supported.

I built it into RunUO 1.0 - therefore it is supported if you try hard enough. You have to be using client 504a +

The only problem I have noticed though, is that the client doesn't display the "Skills" in the player's Skills Menu...
