experienced scripter needed

hi i have 2 scripters on my shard at the moment me and my friend i am a novice and my mate struggles to keep up with helping me and himself

i need a scripter to have a few scripts i can look at to see how indepth you are at scripting

if i like what i see you will be hired

if more than one apply i will either choose oen of you or more likely pick both/all

But yes this was the wrong place to post. Not a big deal your still new here if I remember correctly. Just make sure you keep threads in the proper places people tend to get grouchy about misplaced posts.

Hehe, yeah it was a good morning chuckle.

My basic point, which I think most people understood, is when you're looking to "hire" someone when the job is actually volunteer, you have to take what you can and can't be too picky. Putting criteria on it and making it sound like an interview process implies you're paying, but I had already guess you weren't. And while I understand no one would want someone coding their shard that has no idea what they are doing, people do have to start somewhere. I had no idea what I was doing and managed to figure it all out on my own using the documentation and existing code as an example.If you are going to start your own shard, you should learn these basic skills yourself and not expect any help at all. That's just the way it is. Draw from a pool of your existing friends that share the same idea. There are plenty of stories from people here that have "hired" a programmer without any past knowledge of them only to be ripped off and players (friends) being given hidden codes to get unlimited stuff. Beware who you hire! Forums are absolutely not the best place to show up for the first time and ask for a programmer. You need to spend some time here, as the old saying goes, "Cream rises to the top". You just have to watch the barrel for awhile to figure it out. Good luck.
