Default Custom houseing fix?

The custom houses realy need some work. Alot of the stuff you can do on osi to custom houses is just not there in run uo and its vary vary anoying. A good example is not being able to decorate your bar by setting things on top of it.

Thanks for sticking this in the right place. It is just vary anoying because I used to have such fun on sphere decorating my houses as did alot of the other people I normaly play with and now that we are on a runuo shard we seem that we are so limited in our decorations. Mostly because we cant set stuff were we used to be able to. Bars are a good example of that. I'm not sure if this is on osi or not but I would make pillows (all types) craftable items.

I don't know if it is like that in EA/OSI or not, but if the current system is what exists on EA/OSI then you will have to make the changes your self.

Chances are that the way it is now, is the way it is in EA/OSI.

House bars in OSI UO, you can place things on like just like the other tables, am not sure what would need to be done in RUNUO to make this available for others.

Pillows on the other hand are not a craftable item, they are items that are fished up doing MIB's.

The roofing seems to be done differently as well.

In what way? I'm afraid I didn't get a chance to see how it works on OSI shards.

the only way ive seen that players can do it, is by placing the items on the ground, and raising with an interior decorator, and then customizing in the bar.

Its not that it doesnt work in runuo its just that it seems to work differently. This is from one of my staff members who played on osi when se came out.

The main difference is that on osi if you have a roof section on floor two that covers a portion of floor one, then you build the rest of floor two as a building and put a roof on floor three to cover that, where the roof line on floor three overhangs the roof line on floor two, the roof tiles on floor two will not disappear. In runuo they do. Which also means that you can't build a roof higher than 6 levels. I noticed serveral houses on osi that had 7 and 8 high roofs. Like this one...

You can see on this pic of a house we created in osi where the roofs overlap each other with no problem.

On Runuo, however, this kind of over hang would work like this...

On Runuo, however, this kind of over hang would work like this...
Stage 1) build lower roof
http://stormfiles.no-ip.info/roof/roof3.jpg

Stage 2) Build upper roof
http://stormfiles.no-ip.info/roof/roof4.jpg

All seems well....but
Stage 3) Go back to lower level and veiw roof....roof tiles disappear...

And if you replace the tiles here, when you go to the floor above, you will find the first row on the south side gone.

Another problem with the housing in RunUO is that things fall under the floor tiles, this does not happen on OSI shard. I believe that the core values for where the tile is set is one to high and this is why that happens. I am not sure about that this is just a guess, but would love if someone could look into that so our staff doesnt have to run around and retrieve items from under floor tiles.

Thanks

Okay, that makes sense. I'm going to see if I can come up with a solution to this if nobody else does first.
