Hello !!!
I have a question Again :PI was creating a big area of bone, gravestone and things like that. If i do that, my players ll have LAG ?? Im creating a really big area full of bones and that kind of stuff... + Monsters of course ![]() Thanks !!! |

In theory the more items you have to load on screen the more lag you will cause. This is why many people freeze such items into the muls. The only way for you to know if you are lagging your players with it is to have them walk by it and ask them if they are extra laggy.

yes, making patches would help drastically with the lag. Spawn few monsters in the laggy areas (maybe a few harder monsters, instead of several easier monsters). Patch your deco with the [freeze command, and then distribute the statics and stadix files for the map you froze.

no, it won't make files of "all" the items you have. you freeze areas of deco.....you would still have items like player houses, player's possessions, things like that.
there's two many ways to distribute the files. either rar them up and upload them to your website for download, OR rar them up and upload them somewhere and put the link in uogateway for them to patch uogateway. |

Oh snap!! That's funny. I thought that all of the forums that I have been looking at are more up to date then a year. LOL. Doesn't make any diffrence. Cool that I can still get a reply. Am going to check out those links by Stormwolff, my players are having way to much lag. Its begging to effect me on the server end as well. Thanks all.

Maybe this is not right but if you use [countobjects a file appears in run uo folder named objects now you can see what is most in your world. I noticed that players make accounts and characters thus have starting bank items for every character.Point is I noticed alot of recall runes and treasure maps on the server so i deleted them and only heard complaints from about 6 players.LOL

they're all in your statics folder. the *easiest* way (IMO) to see which ones have been edited recently :P they'll only get edited when you [freeze. So go find the ones that were edited today (if you froze today) and distrbute those as a patch.

I was reading where if you freeze something in tram it shows in fel..my question is I created a building in the black area on the screen now I wish to freeze it (tram) will that too show in fel?

So can anyone tell me if it is possibl to send the files you have made useing the [freeze command. Instead of making them patch through uogateway? I ask this because I don't know how to mkae a website. So there for cannot go publick with my shard.... Was hopeing to get around it somehow thanks.
