Default Downloading RunUO?

I seem to have a problem with some of the links on the RunUO main page. I dont know if you are aware of this, or if anyone else has the same problem, but I cannot download RunUO or go to some of the other pages.

Go to the General Forum. There is a topic called Where to download RunUO beta 36 (or something to that affect) that has the link to RunUO B36.

The site is undergoing a redesign and a host move, so some things do not work yet.

This will be fixed once the server-move is complete.

ok that helped a lot guys but now I have another problem. When I try to connect to my shard with a UO client it hangs on the UO screen at "verifying account" and on my RunUO server window it says "Encrypted client, disconnecting" . What does that mean?

That means you need to decrypt your client. Check your razor or uogateway options.

ok I'm not getting that message anymore but it still hangs on the verifying accoutn part and I realized the "start run uo" and "stop run uo" buttons are greyed out on the run uo server front end prog. At the bottom it says "service status: service runuo was not found on.... " and I cant read the rest. So I look in my Run UO folder and see something called "RUO Service" But I cant open it because it gives me an error saying

"cannot start service from the command line or a debugger. A windows service must first be installed ( using installutli.exe) and then started with the Service Exploer, Windows services administrative tool or the NET START command."

wtf does that mean?!?!

I believe that the front end and the service is broken in the 36 release. If you dont know what a service is you probably shouldnt be using one anyway

The only thing you need to run is server.exe

How are you connecting to your server?
Is it on the same machine?
How is your serverlist.cs setup?

- Connecting through UO Gateway

- Yup, same machine

- The only things I changed are the 2 IP options (the one for firewall and the regular "null" one) I put my IP address there. And I also changed the server name.

yeah in your uogateway settings put that in for your ip address. Leave the serverlist.cs at whatever you set it to and try to connect.

You can insert custom server entries. Click on the my servers button and you will find a text link to it near the top right of the page.

Your welcome.

If your serverlist contains your public ip then yes people should be able to connect if you give them the public ip to connect with.

Your admin account was the one you made the first time you loaded runuo when it asked you for a username and password.
