Question New to RunUO, and off and running...sorta...

Suffice it to say RunUO and its communites are simply spectacular!

I've got my own test shard running on my computer and have been modifying some of the scripts so far with great success...and now that im ready to test out a "character" in-game...

I dont see any "mobs" anywhere...no birds, rabbits, liches, or anything with the sole exception of vendors...

How do I generate mobs? Will I have to add them in myself? I have only modified charactercreation.cs, and nothing else. Is there a command to generate mobs? Or does runuo start off with none?

Thanks in advance

Nym

Sure! And my apologies for not being very clear

Alright I downloaded and installed UOGateway 1.8, and RunUO on my computer, then I put a link to my test center on UOGateway.

I started my shard/server and then created my character/administrator within the game. I've noticed that in the game (as originally installed with no modifications outside of charactercreation.cs) that there are no creatures (birds, orcs, goats, etc.) on the shard anywhere.

Is this the default setup? If it is not...do I have to run a command to spawn creatures?

Hope this is more clear

Thanks again,

Nym

You must spawn all Monsters in their places to see what you see fit! Runuo will NOT add spawners to any dungeons or anything like that, THey will only spawn vendors, doors, signs, and other stuff in relation =)...

use Pandora's box for spawning, it will make your life much simpler.

I am not saying you should do this, but they have spawners in the Script Submission forum. Some of them will spawn all of the dungeons and some will just aid you in spawning them yourself. The best way, by far, to do it is yourself. Without any spawner packages. If you really want a coustom shard then you should do it by hand.
