limit 1 account per player need help - RunUO

i want to limit one player having one account only
i use client login ip to distinguish shared accounts in admin control panel
but i meet a big problem, many players use ADSL, and when they reconnect modem to internet, the ip is different from the former one, so i can't catch such palyers who have 1+ accounts

could anybody give me suggestions how to limit 1 account per player ?

Not sure you really can do much for connections like dial up that have a dynamic ip.

I have a dynamic IP, but because it was on the same range as what i was origabally using, i couldn't make any additional accounts..

i saw that some people were connecting there account creations to there website so it could only be created if you had registered under there forums, that seems to work though im not quite sure how to do it

There's not really much you can do. You can use the [admin command and look at all the accounts that have more than one ip that have connected to them. That way you can delete all the accounts if one ip has connected to like 10 different accounts. So you can tell your players if you make more than 1 account then they will all be deleted. However, you will still run into problems with people that have a family that play or friends that play at the same house..etc

You could turn off auto-account and make all the accounts manually and have them either apply to have an account or just register on forums or something and make an account manually for each person that registers on forums.

I would like to know how i can have more then one acoount on the same Ip ? Thanks for your help

I can only log one name in my shard from this computer an i cant even get it so my son whos on a diffrent computer on my shard any help would be great

Just use your admin char, type [admin, and I know on one of the screens under Admin menu, not sure which, but at the top there's 2 blank spaces, one for acct name and one for a pass. Just make a new account there and that's it.
