Do a search on the forums and you'll find that your question has been answered already, many times.

RunUO uses C#. As such, it requires a .Net framework.

At this time none of the Linux .Net's work with RunUO.

The devs from Mono are working with the RunUO devs to try and fix this.

It may be a few weeks, it may be a few months.

Its already done more or less the problem is, Ryan as reported that Mono and RunUO work well together, so everything is slow. Ryan didn't seem like the future for it was very good because of that.

RunUO is designed for .Net

.Net was designed by Microsoft for Windows.

Windows will still most likely be the OS of choice.

It works, thats working well together vs what it used to be where it would crash. Now the problem is the fact Mono will never be able to do the job .NET Framework does this is shown in the evidence of a server on Mono being slow.

Thus the performance on Mono is so bad, even Ryan who uses Linux, dislikes it. But its still early, but like I said, the chances Mono will be able to improve that part is not very likely.
