Hello to all and all hello.... yea...
Anyway, Im getting a bit of a fancy for making my own UO shard and was wondering, since I have no background in C# or progamming of any kind... are there sites out there that have pre made scripts to add various things to ones shard available for download? I have RunUO's latest server package which has the most basic of stuff, pretty much a blank slate. I intend to practice and evenutally start my own shard off of what ive put together and tested. I have seen many shards with rather inoovative scripts and what not, are there any sites that host similar scripts and general add ons/tweaks for download? Thanks for any help that may insue from this post... |

You will find scripts here on the forum and there are also some at www.orbsydia.com in their scripting forum.

Greetings Draconis,
Welcome to the wonderful world of RunUO. Yes, there are many additional scripts you can add to the base distribution. Check the Script Support and Script Modifications forums. Be aware that adding custom scripts to your shard can be hazardous to the health of your shard. Many times you need to replace base distribution files as well as just adding additional scripts. A good technique is to create a /custom directory to store all custom scripts. Inside it create a /basefiles directory. If you put all modified base scripts in one place you will have an easier time managing them. |

Squee! I didnt think to look in the forum itself, most ive been to dont have download/attachment options to them.. plus.. RUNUO's primary page had a link to scripts and what not, which is under construction.. so my attention was diverted... thank you for the guidance... and in responce to the part about managing scripts in a seperate directory... I learned that after much trial and error... thank you ^_^
