Default When a new version of RunUO is released. What do I do ?

Hello,

As indicated in the subject, is there specific instructions on how to update the existing shard with a new release of runUO ?

Thank you

Well this really depends on what you did or added to your shard. Example: If you edited playermobile or added weapon changes that affected base weapon.cs folder or even a regional change this may complicate things. Otherwise When the release comes out there will be some support dependiong on what changes you have made, thus allowing you to upgrade. :-) Hope this helps you out some.

Thank you.

So far I have not done any customization. I have only installed Nerun's Distro.

I've got a long way to go as I have to learn Scripting first
and then understand how everything fits together.

Cheers

Answer:
1. Rejoice and be merry.
2. Post words of praise and thanks to the devs
3. What Broadside said

Also, dont forget to back up before you attempt an upgrade. This will help you avoid any unneccessary frustration you may encounter.

Use a program to merge every single line that changed between the two versions.

If you do this, you will have no trouble moving to the next release, of course it will only take time to do this.

You of course have to do it, so it works right, if you have custom default files this could cause problems.
