Hi everyone, I'm Aeolus, maybe some of you have seen my other posts recently. I just wanted to take a second to introduce myself since I've been here a lot recently. I am new to scripting... before I started using RunUO a couple weeks ago, I had no idea what a script even was... Everything I know about it right now is what I've learned here- while I couldn't begin to write a script from the ground up- I AM learning, so please try to be patient with my bothersome newbie questions. While I'm here, I'll let you know what I'm working on atm... I found a script for randomly talking vendors, posted here several nights back by rsmiller21. I have added that script to all the base vendors and am currently busy giving all the different types of vendors different dialogue. I will post them as soon as their done. They really do add a bit of depth and character (and sometimes comedy) to a shard, especially on a role-playing shard. It's also really easy to customize, for newbies like me. Anyway, while I take NO credit for the scripting, coming up with dialogue for nearly 60 different types of vendors, has been kind of a grueling task. I should have it done in a few days (or maybe a week at most), depending on how much time I'm able to dedicate to it this week. Anyway, Merry X-mas and happy holidays to everyone!
