Stopping Windows Services for speed gain.

I'm playing around in a pretty low end computer right now, as far as specs go. And it's running Windows 2000 Pro and I want to try squeezing as much speed out of it as I can - without learning how to overclock. So my question is, which services can I eliminate safely in the Services tab when I go into msconfig on my computer. My second question is, will doing this improve performance on my UO server's load times and save times and such?

And sorry if ANY of this post makes no sense. My thoughts are scrambled right now because both my bosses (who happen to be my parent inlaws - and I'm at work right now) are fighting like crazy, heh.
