I keep getting unable to connect

I loaded runuo and started it entered the username and pasword, and every thing went through, when i started uogateway and entered the ip and port in there then tried to connect it keeps giving me a message unable to connect to Ultima Online. I have a modem connected to my pc i am not using router. Any advice?

Please post whats displayed when you do "ipconfig" in a command prompt.

You could have course double check your modem is not working as a router, and if it is, forward your port.

If you want to connect heres some hints from where im sitting.
Computer "A" = server computer
Computer "B" = External computer

1.) if your running the server on computer "A" and connecting from computer "A"
then set your IP in uogateway or login.cfg to 127.0.0.1
2.) if your running server on computer "A" and connecting from computer "B"
then there are a few things here, for one is your ip dynamic or static. if its not static. i recommend going to no-ip.com and whipping yourself up a new one.
and entering in newman2.no-ip.info or whatever you want as your ip. i meen if your IP is always changing then youll need a no-ip, also you might want to get a script to change your ip for you auto. i know there are a few in custom script releases.

if your not able to connect to your computer using 127.0.0.1 and your connecting from the server computer somthing else is wrong.

and are you behind a router. or a hub? i can help you with that

ok now on ipconfig

Connection-specific DNS suffix . : Domain.invalid
IP address.............................:192.168.254.2
Subnet Mask..........................:255.255.255.0
Default Gateway.....................:192.168.254.254
So i went to no-ip.com and got the name homepc.bounceme.net
now still get message cannot connect to Ultima Online
