log in other users problem - RunUO

i have encryption off and have not changed anything but my friend cannot log onto shard so we can work together. he gets stuck at the validating screen.

what does runuo say when he logs on? does it even show him connecting?

Do you have a Router? If so you need to port forward your Router for your friend to be able to log in....And make sure their client is fully patched also...
