Problems getting started...yes again! :) - RunUO

Ok, I have decided to take the first big step (aren't newbies cute?) and after installing UO T2A and RunUO 2.0 I am left with this...

I ran the RunUo.exe and created an administrator account...then it just sits there...doing nothing apparently after saying "Report Stats, etc. then World: Saving in 0.73 seconds". When I run the uoserver.exe or whatever it says no scripts found.

Everything is in the same directory, for example:

I am guessing that since the last scripts it tried to load were the necromancer scripts, do I have to have AOS installed to get this ball rolling? I only have up to Third Dawn on disc...my brother has Aos and such, but if I can work with the era I'm most familiar with, I would be happier! Sorry for being so pathetic, gotta' start somewhere I guess...

Since theres been a few updates etc etc, your best bet would be to start the client (The game UO) from the desktop icon (As if you were going into EA's version of the game), just let the client fully patch up to the latest version first which i think is something like 5.0.1d. (May take time as theres a few big patch files there, but let it do it, this will allow for things ML related).

When the server is running the console window does just sit there doing things like world saves etc etc, basically thats it... the servers running, you need to log into your server to play or admin it.

Best way to log into it... You have 2 choices, download Razor or UOGateway and install.

Run Razor which should give you a small box with server name & port options (2 boxes to fill in), in there you want something like 127.0.0.1 (for the server) & 2593 (For the port, thats usually the default number for ports in RunUO).

If it all went ok, your game client should start up and get you to the login screen, and your off.

UOGateways maybe a little more involved to setup so just get things working with razor first then ask later for UOG's setup.

I had an issue, but I think I figured it out. A few of the .mul files were corrupted from the installation of a bad T2A disc. I'm installing from a Third Dawn disc and it is taking a lot longer to install, so I think its going better now. Thank you for getting me on track, I really really really really appreciate all help I am given, especially when I understand it
