Okay, I really wouldn't be asking about this considering there is a FAQ on this. But, the FAQ isn't really helping me. The FAQ Called "How to make a map from begining to end." Has all the steps out of order if I were to use something other the DragonMod9, it leaves steps out such as how to install or put the directory in for statics0.mul and such.. and finally, the worst part is the site it links you to has been underconstruction for the longest time and has none of the downloads and I've yet to find any up-to-date downloads of Worldforge or Worldmaker. So I ask if anyone can help me with finding an up-to-date version for which ever program works best, I'm not worried how easy it is to use, but what will make the best looking map.
Thanks, -Grimmy |

Yes, www.ryandor.com has been under construction for a while. I have a copy of Dragon 9 and Dragon 11, but I'm not sure if I should put it up somewhere. It's not my work and I'd rather not start problems. I can check on www.ryandor.com to see if it's okay to transfer via AIM or somesuch. I might be able to help you out there.
As for statics and such, there is a program called Dragon SP that creates statics and staidx mul files. Basically, you use Dragon 9 or 11 to create a map0.mul file and Dragon SP for the other two files. You place the modified files into the actual Ultima Online game directory on the shard server, then create patch files (RAR), place them on a website and then direct UOGateway (or whatever program you are using to log on with) to those patches so they download when you connect to the shard. If you have any other questions, I'll try to answer. I've had quite a bit of experience with Dragon and WorldForge, as well as other map making/modifying programs. Just give a post or PM. EDIT: In my opinion, Dragon 9 or 11 is the way to go, really. WorldForge is okay for making minor changes, but it's a tile-by-tile program, whereas Dragon can use BMP files to create map0.mul files.
