Default Quick Question About Pet Releasing...

If a player of mine has lost their pet and wishes to release it to free up the follower position. How might they go about that? Is there a command to release all pets within your follower slots from afar?

As far as I know, there isn't anything like that.

I don't think there is a command that does that in the distro scripts but you can easily write 1 up yourself.
Sinply make the command that run on the Followers array and do dollower.release on it.

There is a command that could help in the distro.

[getfollowers

Target the player and it should bring his lost pet to him

At that point he could keep it or release it.

Yes there is but based on his original question I assume that he want the players to do this on their own without staff.
In my opinion granting the players the [getfollowers command is a bad idea which is why I didn't sugegst using that as a base.

I appreciate both answers, but Daat, you are correct. I'd like players to be able to handle this on their own.

Than you need to loop on the followers array (in a similar way to how the getfollowers command does) and just release and delete all the pets that exist in it.

I could not dicern from his original post that he wanted players to be able to handle the situation on their own.

Now that he has stated so. MY last post is useless for what he wants.

I never said for him to grant players the command [get followers.

Though I thought the LoyaltyTimer in BaseCreature.cs was suppose to take care of such issues.

Maybe I am wrong here.
