Default looking for help doing a custom map

my friends and i are starting to make a world for our kids to play on and are looking to make a custom map. A shard i used to play on had a custom map and the gm there told me of a program that will actually covert paint files into a uo map. Any help would be wounderful

It's called Dragon 11 (i think latest version is 11 atleast).
And while it CAN convert achual bmps made in paint, i strongly advice you to use Photoshop to do the .bmp image.
Paint has worthless zoom abilities and no advanced tools whatsoever (and to do mountains, you'll need to utilize atleast one "advanced" tool).

Read the Adobe Reader tutorial document thruoughly, and you will eventually get the hang of it.
I'm pretty good at map making and i learned all i know from that Adobe Reader tutorial i found at the ryandor site.

I would say atleast 15 hours of meere trial and error is needed before you get the basic knack of it.
