Default Basics to Play?

I am confused as to where I find the RunUO client. And the other requirements to play an emu shard. If someone could point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

All you need is a copy of Ultima Online installed. EA still offers the UO: Mondain's Legacy client free for download from www.uo.com/uoml. Install it, and then install UOGateway available from www.uogateway.com or ConnectUO available from www.connectuo.com and either will be able to help you get connected to a free shard of your choice.

True... but the OP said he would only like to play free shards which is why I didn't include a link to RunUO. I guess I took a chance as to whether he really wanted to run a server or not... thanks for filling in what I left out.

mmm good point. I guess I'm just used to people confusing the term "server" with "client".
thanks for the link for UOML too. I didnt know they had that. I downloaded it last night. Havent installed it yet, since I dont wanna redo my custom hues and stuff right now. But I prolly will when I get around to patching for custom mounts.
