Ok, I'm a little slow - RunUO

I have been running a 1.0 server just to play with for over a year now, thought I would try the new 2+ server. But, when I try to start it, it wants the .net v2.0.50727, and in the stuff I have managed to find, it sends you to the RunUO hompage to handle the .net stuff. Only thing is, I can't figure out where it is!!! Yeah, I'm a bit slow. Maybe a LOT slow!!! But after 4 hours of trying to get around the problem (lots of visits to MS, yuck!!!!) I gave up trying to get my .net up to par. Someone please tell me the simple little thing I need to do to fix my lame problem that should already be fixed!!! My bad.

thats the redistributable for 2.0

I thought though that Windows automatically downloaded the newest version of .net in its updates though, so you could try updating too...

No. The .Net Framework has always been an optional download even in Windows Update.

Well thanks guys. I got it to work, even did some basic stuff with my admin. Now, I have to put all my favorite tweaks into it. And relearn how to do simple things again,, like giving it a name!! But that's all fun stuff. Oh, I was close to the right thing. I downloaded the compact platform 2.0 .net, and it doesn't upgrade to 2.0.50727 .net. Neat, huh??? Oh well. Now for the fun stuff!!! Yay.
