Default Playing on Vista??

How do you play on Vista?? Just got a new comp with Vista and I can't get any client to install except Kingdom Reborn. Is there any possible way to get Mondain's Legacy on Vista?? I am considering installing XP. Any ideas?

Run the setup as an administrator. Right-click on the setup file, and select "Run as Administrator". You'll have to run the game the same way. One note though...UO.exe will have to be manually killed once client.exe starts up....it doesn't seem to want to close on it's own in Vista.

Default Hmm

I tried that and it just keeps asking me security questions and then stops completely.

Maybe it's all these stupid overabundant security features on Vista that I'm not used to yet. Is there a way to turn these off?

Yes, you can turn UAC (User Account Control) off if you want...I wouldn't recommend this...I know it's quite annoying, but UAC makes things way more secure.

If you want to turn it off check this out: Disable User Account Control in Windows Vista

Otherwise, if you decide to keep it on, when it asks to continue/allow, click the appropriate button to allow the program to run.

...And just so you know...I know it can be run...I'm running Vista Ultimate...and UO works for me.
