Hi All,

As im sure more than one or two of you have gotten, i got the invitation to come back to UO after being gone for approximately 3 years. I fired it up and then got a hankering to start up my own shard to mess around with in my free time.

The problem i am having and im not sure if this is correct but will RunUO work with the new information (i had to download the install since i couldn't find my old CD's) and it just keeps cropping up errors and failing out. Any suggestions on where i might find an older version of the game client and all the older data.

2.47.0.6 actually, but it isn't client side that im having the errors, the server won't even fully initialize im not sure if i might not have done something right though which could be the case.

RunUO needs the 2D client to run. I don't think it will work with the KR client's data files.

Do you happen to know where i might be able to find the 2D client and the associated Data files?

EA has been taking down all of its authorized downloads of the 2D client (they obviously want everyone to switch). You might be able to find an authorized download at Markee Dragon - Celebrating 10 years 1997 - 2007 if it is still there.

Otherwise you might need to get a copy of one of the UO expansions from Ebay. Once you have it, you should be able to patch up to the latest version. For the time being, EA is still supporting the 2D client, they just aren't actively promoting it.

I Found one, and got it RunUO working.

Do you have any tips on useful in game admin tools?

pandoras box works excelent, just search the forums or google for a download

Yeah, Pandora's Box is the main one. You may need to dig around a bit to find the latest working copy since it isn't supported any more by the author. Various people here in the forums have provided updates tho.
