NPC showing as players is it possible??? - RunUO

i was wondering if it possible to make a files that gonna run some NPC doing actions (like a BoT) but showing as if it was a player online .... kk let me explain what i mean
this will help new shard to keep players in the shard even if it a new shard cuz he is goin to see players(NPC) running around some doing mining in specific spot and moving from one spot to the other ... some others hunting/doing LJ/ fishing / training ... even can make them reply to specific quest or word like if some one say hi/heya/hello the player(NPC) can reply some thing like hey how it goin or stuff like this .... it only cuz by showing some players online the new players will be more open to explore and keep coming on new shard .... the only think is im not sure where to start to make this happen if any one have some ideas reply to this thread and ill try to work it out and make it public once working.

Adding some NPCs that look like they are doing something is not that difficult; there are a couple of very clever actor NPC scripts in the release forum.

Making them respond to stuff can be done, too, but anything even remotely like a meaningful conversation is out of the question. You can only script 'if NPC hears keyword "xxx" respond with "yyy"'. Do a couple of those and not only will your script become huge, but also will your speech parser take up lots more CPU time. Not so much a problem on a 10 player shard, but something to keep in mind...

the most important thing is they need to show as player count :S for the rest i got it already but it only the part that they need to show when u do [who or what ever is set on other server ... it showing the players online i want them to appear on this list as players

You can't trick the connect uo list using npc's it detects how many connections are going into the server i thought?

yes i guess ur right :S.... cuz when u sommun a player character (for what ever raison) and that player is not online it not gonna show is character on list even after u summoned :S... so i guess i can't do it .... oh well he will need to find an other way to get players on is server i guess tkx for ur time

Why not just make a few extra accounts on your server with a player on each and have them "afk"? Just log them in and set them on a macro or something with razor. *shrugs*
