Default Is there still a subscribers' section?

I've come back to working on a RunUO server myself and some friends were developing back in early 2004, and one of the scripts I was using on the server (TheOutkastDev's Race/Class/Exp System (Beta 2)) had, I heard, been put into a section of the forums only available to subscribers and, well, I'm wondering where that section is and how I subscribe?

I'd love to get a more updated version.

There is no longer a subscriber's forum as far as I know.

Aw.

I guess I'll see if TheOutkastDev is still around to take a PM.

Hey you seem to be a cool guy I beleive the system is still around howevewr very absolete by now. It was conpatable with runUO rc1 as far as I know and that has long since been upgraded. You could still try and use rc1 but you would be better just upgrading to the lastest svn and installing mondains legacy with it. If you need help finding anything or my help I will gladly help and I will look for the dev system

Thanks Well, we've done a whole load of work on the server already, and we don't want to upgrade and lose all or most of it. We're hoping to use what we have and add bits to it. I sent TheOutkastDev a PM asking about updates to his system, so hopefully he'll have something for me when he gets it.

I think the last "UPDATE" was done sometime in 2004 it was located in the Archive, but it didn't have a download. It had a link to another page that said download it here, but it comes up with a 404 page not found error. I know that doesn't help any and I think OutKast might be one of those people who doesn't answer PMs about scripts... anyway I guess the "wait and see" approach should work here.

You can download a more updated version of TheOutkast's System updated by another member of the community from:

SourceForge.net Repository - [seanchen-group] Index of /RaceSystem

The system will not work with a current version of RunUO, the support for the script was dropped by the particular user awhile ago who did the bug fixes for it, because it was going to be an issue to update the code. Infact based on the notes for the file I have, it was released around when RunUO 1.0.0 was released, which was awhile ago. Taking a look at the script itself, I see several issues and concluded it wouldn't be worth the effort to update it to make it work with RunUO 2.0 RC1 or even RC2 just a fair warning.

The only thing that has any useful data in it is the 1.3 folders the others where just created and nothing was done with it. After looking at most of the stuff in that Sorceforge site it hasn't been updated in 2-4 years. So it's all going to be old. But it would give a starting point of sorts.

This was a decent system that was fairly easy to implement, so I'm sure there is some code there that is of value and can be updated fairly easily. It could be a good starting point and then improved upon.

This is 99.9% OutkastDev's system, there were only a few very minor bug fixes done to parts of it by "the other guy".

Thanks.

Looks like we're doing the tweaking and updating ourselves though. We have only half a clue about what we're doing but it's going okay hehe.
I'll still check out the more recent version and see what can be used from it.

The bug fixed where probably done well because the "other guy" could code very well.

Yeah, well, "the other guy" made a few very minor edits to the program and then tried to claim it was his, and basically tried to tell people they couldn't use it on their shards because he didn't want to develop it any further. So regardless of his programming abilities, "the other guy" was an asshole.

But this probably isn't the place to get into that.

I was going to mention he had some attitude issues, but chose to leave it out so as to not start anything, so yes I do agree with you there.

Am I no longer on a public internet forum or is this some kind of strange parallel dimension where people are civil online?
