A little new and need a little help.

Hey guys I'm just coming into runuo. I've had experience with UO but I just started making my own server. I was wondering if you could help with a few things I can't seem to find the answer to.

1. I need to make monster spawns for UOML but no one seems to support that any more. I tried downloading nerun's distro but the file was empty. Is this because there no longer is a 1.0? I'm only interested in UOML.

2. For UOML there are humans and elves. Unfortunatly it says I can't be an elf because the server doesn't have it. I searched all scripts relating to character creation or characters in general but no race selection. I downoaded runuo 1.0 (the one with the smaller link) am I missing something?

If you want to support UOML, then you want RunUO 2.0 RC2 or possibly one of the SVN versions that worked with Malganis' ML release.

The file was probably NOT empty, but the forums seem to be double-zipping most files, so when you unzip a zip file you get another file with the same name as the zip, but without any extension. If this is the case, simply delete the zip file you downloaded after unzipping it, then rename that file with no extension - adding .zip to the end - and it will be a valid archive. Now you can unzip that.

I think you will need 2.0 to enable Mondain's Legacy AND Elves. 1.0 did not have built-in support for it. Here is a good combination of scripts to use:

UO Mondain's Legacy, patched to 6.0.5
RunUO 2.0 RC2
Nerun's Distro

Ok thanks.

With nerun's distro I can't even open the compressed file unless I inzip it, but when I do so it says it cannot work, so it's an endless circle.

If I do download other modain legacies and Runuos, will the clients have to download newer UOML and Razors? I'm in no need to get elves and if all my clients have to re-do all of this, it could be a disappointment... Really I just need monster spawns. =)
