Default Solo play shard possible?

Hey all, I am interested in setting up a private shard to play uo just by myself on my laptop.... No internet access at work. Can it be done? If so could someone point me to a complete idiot's guide to setting it all up? Thanks.

What you're asking for is quite possible and fairly easy to setup. The FAQ forum has a wealth of good information for getting things setup. Since you're not interested in connecting to the outside world at all, you'll be able to skip the parts about setting up your router. As Mad Clown said above, you'll connect to 127.0.0.1 for local play.

yes, its possible to play on a private shard by urself. You don't really need to edit ServerList.cs you can just connect right into it using Razor, pointing to the ip address 127.0.0.1. You do have to be running the shard on the same comp, or if your running it on another pc, you need to point Razor to that private ip. E.g: 192.168.1.101.

You'll find most of the stuff you need on the FAQ Forum.

And just look in this sections stickies, there's Nomad's guide.

Thanks gang. I managed to log in and create an admin account and can run around the empty shard. However I can not seem to create a regular player account to play the game without all the admin privileges. Man its awful to be this addicted to uo that I have to set up my own server. :-)

You can control all privileges and create accounts from [admin
I think RunUO is set to auto account creation by default, which means if you just log in using a different name, it should create a new account and you'd automatically have only player rights.

Make sure you spawn the world with monsters, else it might be a little boring :P.

when I attempt to log in with a different name it simply says that it cannot connect to osi servers... does not create new account.

Just log with your admin char, use the [admin function and create yourself an account.

by default, you can only create 1 account on a single IP address, you'll need to change that in AccountHandler.cs or you can just create the account in-game using [admin like the users said above this post.
