Default Some issues with Razor

Operating System: Windows 2000 SP4
Razor Version: v0.1.1
Emulator Logging Into: RunUO Beta 34
Client Version: 4.0.0o (Patch 9)

Brief problem Description:

I appreciate the new razor tool alot, and it already helps greatly even without macro recording function.

To help further development, here's a few problems I found:
- Sometimes during healing the health bar of the mini status gets displayed as 0. It happens when doing certain things while it heals, not sure what it was. That can be annoying if low on health anyways, hehe.
- The re-count function doesn't seem to work properly, so using the key won't update the info.
- Containers in your backpack that contain items to be counted need two tries to open them.
- Bankbox occasionally gets counted as backpack inventory, so the item counters mess up.
- Displaying the counted infos in the title bar would be alot easier to read than having it in the Razor window only.
- If you close UO or it crashes, most often Razor does not get closed, leaving more and more Razor processes in RAM. You can kill them via task manager though.
- Using UOGateway, Razor allows to start multiple UO clients. This can be useful but might not be intended. I didn't try to login with a second account though, so I cannot tell if it works.

Hope this helps.

I'm confused.

Try: "UO {char} - {statbar} - BP={bp} MR: {mr} ss-{ss}"
That is what the parenthesis are for next to each thing listed on the counters.

Yes, of course :-P

Zippy,

I think he means that if you recall between facets, your counters are set to zero. When you double click on a box / bag in your backpack, it recounts your regs or whatever you have counting within that box / bag... then you have to double click it again to open it. Once you have done this procedure once, then you can double click as normal to open the box / bag within your backpack before you recall again to a different facet.

I experience the same issue. It is not a big deal to be honest, but one maybe to put at the bottom of your list to look at. :)

Yup, that's about it I'd say, thanks for explaining. Actually I didn't find the details about the problem yet, it just didn't work often.

About the reagent display:
It would be great to have checkboxes to select the items to be displayed in addition to the powerful allowing of a custom string. These should include some of the UOAssist defaults. Like this the tool's setup would be alot more convenient to use.

Here's another one:
If you have a desktop saved with an open paperdoll, the paperdoll isn't opened anymore on startup of the client when you use Razor. So the desktop setup doesn't get completely restored. Not a big issue since you just reopen it - but you might like to know.

If im understanding you correctly this is already a function
by default there is no reagent display on the title bar. the entire title bar is customizable. if you hold your mouse over the empty field for the title bar it shows you the possible codes to be displayed

here is one i use for example:
UO - {char} ({shard}) {statbar}{bandage} {weight}/{maxweight} BP-{bp} SS-{ss} SA-{sr} BM-{bm} GL-{gl} GS-{gs} MR-{mr} NS-{ns} H-{heal} C-{cure} A-{arw} B-{blt}

which is pretty close to what the uoa title bar looks like

you can even add your own items to the list
for example I did potions, arrows, and bolts
just add the item , code abbv {a} arrow target the item to get its item id #
then just add A-{a} to the title bar field and you're set (obviously this will only work on stackable items excluding cloth and leather)

If I misunderstood you(my aplogies), could you be a little more specific?

Actually it does work with cloth and leather, also with ingots and any stackable items. I have a cloth & ingot counter for my tailor, though you need to set the color if you want it to be of one item (eg. need to set for Iron Ingots, otherwise all ingots will be counted)

It works for non stackables too DYI (potions are not stackable, but are counted)

*smacks forehead* of course it works on potions

heh you got me Zippy =)(im half asleep my sick kid was up all night thus no sleep and home watching her)

I was mainly trying to emphasize the title bar is fully customizable and I havent seen any problem with displaying reagents or any other custom item I personally have added. I hadnt tested leather or cloth so I didnt want to say it worked

Yeah, I think what he was saying is he'd like to have a titlebar with all the reags on it so he wouldnt have to type the format himself, that's not likely... People just need to read the guide

Hi,
I downloaded Razor yesterday (0.1.1) and there are 2 major things i noticed.
When u get client crash, Razor doesnt close. I have to force the close with the task manager
Sometimes im gettin kind of a spell bug, like the one on osi. I cant really say when it happens but it did like 4 times now. It seems to when i am in a team fight and doing fast cast a pretty often, which means i keep the button pressed for a long time. It doesnt happen always so i cant tell exactly what the issue is. But ist very annoying because i cant cast anything. The only thing to get rid of it is the recall via runebook. That works, but cant cast spell via macro (= death in PvP)
The other thing is it would be nice if razor could remember which template u use for which char. I have templates like Warrior, Mule, Tank Mage, Archer mage and i always have to swap. Not such a big deal i know, i just wanetd to mention it

Still great work there, this ist supposed to be a complaint
