No

Razor does not modify any of the packets so it couldn't be detected. EasyUO is allowed on OSI thats just the fact it needs to be updated.

At most Razor will need to be adjusted to work.

I've never heard of this... Can someone give me a link where I can read about it....

Or is it just a stupid rumor?

stupid rumor.

easyuo works the same way razor does, sending key strokes and VALID commands to the client, it NEVER interupts or changes the data stream.

Yes it's true. I did some reading, and apparently its mostly targeted towards EasyUO blocking (which it did block, for about 10 seconds until easyuo released a new version.. duh). So far as I can tell it does not affect razor at all. I've run it around with 4.0.4a all day and had no problems... And I haven't had reports of any problems.

I did however notice a signifigant increase in the time it takes the client to start, I believe (but not sure) this is the client "scanning its memory" to detect 3rd party programs. Supposedly if it finds one its supposed to crash itself like 60 seconds later.

I think its pretty hillarious that OSI would actually make their program crash on purpose. Havent they ever heard of a message box saying "dont hack our shit" or something? wtf?

Hahah, yeah that is funny.

That and if they actually took the time to properly code their client then people like you woldn't have to code third party tools to do the work OSI is too incompetent to do. UO is unplayable without Razor.

Default problem

Today after patching 3d client to version 4-0-4b2, when run with Razor (b17), client hangs on Logging Into Shard
When client is run by No_Crypt_Client (UORise) it plays normaly. 2d version don't have problems with Razor i think.
I'm playing on RunUO shard ... any ideas?

what they sem to be doing is looking for anything in their client memory that has changed from what the client SHOULD have. So as long as everything you do you can do in game, then they shouldn't be able to find it (at least for now).

afaik Razor doesnt alter client memory in any signifigant way they could detect unless you have Pre-AOS status bar on, which you shouldnt have on if you are playing AOS anyways :-)

I asked on the UOStratics forum if UOAssist was still allowed on OSI shards and they said that it was... It seems to be the same as the debates from Microsoft about open source software, If you dont have to pay for it, then its bad...
