If/Loop help

I'm not sure how to use the comman IF with journal entry, I also have huge problem with FOR LOOP. Is there some guide or something for that? I can't find it anywhere and the one that is has no info I need.

I'm trying to make a marco that would cast a spell until it is succesfully cast :

Loop!
Cast spell
Wait for target
Execute target
If (journal contains "the spell fizzles")
Cast spell
Wait...
Ex...
Else
Exec: stop current macro

That's how it looks and it does not recast the spell if failed. As for now I'm using:
(...)
If mana < XX
Exec: Stop
Else
Cast Spell

But as u see it has very limited use.
I also have same problem with mining "no metal"
