I can not run razor and I have no idea why. I recentely took a couple week break from Ultima Online and decided to go back at it. Nothing has changed to my computer it was once working and all of sudden it stopped. I now get this message if I run razor.
(Pop Up Box) Titlebar-Razor.exe - Application Error Message- The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application. Button-OK When I try to reinstall .Net framwork it states that the installation failed prematurely and if this consist to contact support. I have looked up on microsoft that problem under .Net support and all it says to do is reinstall which does not help me. "Yes I have deleted it from Add/Remove programs too, and the folder" I have tried the following: Uninstalled UOML and then reinstalled it all over. Uninstalled .Net framework 2.0 and reinstalled 2.0 and tried 1.1 but it fails now prematurely. Uninstalled Razor and reinstalled Razor. What is wrong! I don't understand how it can all be working and now it fails. I really do not wish to format my computer because I have so much stuff on it and it would be way to much work to back up. Can someone help me! |

You need to install the .net framework 1.1.
I cant really help you with any problems installing that. Sorry.

I know this, there's a virus that install and hide itself while executing causing most of .NET apps to display that error and preventing framework 1.1 to being installed (error on registering components). In my case it was C:\windows\system32\fanxctrl.dll (and fanxctrl.sys which was called after by fanxctrl.dll).
I used Hijackthis' "delete a file on reboot" to remove that cursed dll. p.s: yeah, I'm a bit late since this happened to me yesterday ![]() |
