No 1.0.0 doesnt have Uo positioning system , 1.0.1 has it ( as i remember correctly)

im using 1.0.0 macros are much faster in 1.0.0 then in newer versions of razor ( or intended to work in different way)

2 questions

1. what is the window (looks like a scroll) on the right side of your UO window?
2. what resolution u use? coz u got a small gamewindow, but i can see a lot of the world. When i set up my client with a 800x600 window, is can't see so far like u.

Are questioning where your Profiles are? What are you trying to do? Run UO on Vista?

First problem is that when I use Razor, It works fine, exept that I get stuck at the Verifying account.... screen. (and yeah im usng Vista on a brand new comp and using the latest razor.

Second Issue is this below:

Dec. 15'th 2006: Released UO_RICE -3.5

Damn it, first time in 5 years that an update is actually required.
Fixed: Encryption removal for 2d clients didn't work since patch 5.0.7

So to all you ppl using Uo Rice, do not patch past 5.0.7 unless your planning to use the no_crypt_32 client instead. Now im here having to reinstall uo to get to under 507. bumer!

No, you're reading the update text wrong.

Client 5.0.7 is when the encryption changed and they had to update UO RICE. After that, UO RICE worked until client changes in 6.0.6.2 broke it again.

So the current version of UO Rice works all the way up to client 6.0.6.1.

after I got the microsoft net framework for UO to work on vista, the login in screen says eighth age, UO version 6.0.7.0, (patch 66). how do i fix that so I can go back to playing Samurai empire and Mondains legacy. UO nineth addition is what I have installed but eversince that framework download I seem to be using way to high of a patch number. pretty sure I used to use (50) for both free shards I played on.. Adjournment to antiquities and Gaurdians of Paradise. not sure what to do now. I need that framework thing to make uo work with vista but it seems to override the setting I originallly got from nineth additon.

i have windows vista and razor runs fine, but the only thing i dont understand it does not display my reg amount and other things on my display option. i have tried many times and just gave up. i have clicked the check to view there and nothing changes, it still says the basic ultima online- goodchild and thats it. no reg amount no grey timer nothing. whats the deal? does this have to do with my framework or a inner problem with razor?

I bought a labtop a few month ago, that means...it's installed WINDOW VISTA...
I've tried to fix all of those problems for 2months. There is no answer..guys.
We have to give up vista 32bit.

I tried to turn off all option in razor.

It makes connect 'in' game successful.... but as I open my backpack, razor crashed(it means also uoclient crashed too, so I can't play game).

So I guess ... when razor check backpack, then razor shutdown automatically w/ Vista, even w/.netframework 1.1.

That's why I want to avoid razor, but there's no way login non OSI server w/o razor.
UOgateway and UO-rice doesn't work either. And ConnectUO still in progress, they delete download link.

In order to get the reg counter to work you need to set the client.exe to run in XP compatibility mode. When you start Razor it will change the display setting on the computer to Vista Basic but they do show up with this setting.

I have not run into the back pack issue. If you have created the character with an older version of the client that might be causing the issue. I know this happened to me when I used another emulator, but since I started using RunUO and have done all the connections through Razor this has not happened again.

Conecting on OSI works very well in Windows Vista, but nice tool(but it ruins hybrid user w/ vista) makes me giving up any non OSI server.

Actually, backpack check on razor is not only problem, but also any items(picking it up, clicking it, or trying to drag, etc...) makes client shut down.

In OSI w/o any plug-in(3rd party) program except UOA, there's no problem to play. So, that's not Client problem.

Why razor always crash with any item interaction? UOA also check item and backpack, but why razor does?
I tried PlayUO also, and it doesn't make it. Connection success as razor with non-option, but after few second, I can see connection lost messege...

So I guess there can be something another cause crash those.

1. How about .Net Framework 1.1?
I already install .net 1.1 and hotfix, but I doubt that does it works really on vista?
Even I checked window updated list and there's .net 1.1, I doubt it works well....

2. Any problem with .Net Framework 2.0?
Also, I already install .net 3.5 (as you know, that include .net 2.0 and 3.0).
I finally found ConnectUO. But there's error messege on main page.
It said that my .net 2.0 is problem....

3. Why UO Rice and UOGateway don't work?
It doesn't support anymore? Or just Vista problem?
I couldn't run it.

Actually I don't need nice tool to play better, just need to able to play the game.
There's no way to get No_Crypt_Client.exe anymore (maybe client version 6.0.2 or 6.0.3). In fact, I just need that file to connect.

Any other suggest to connect without above programs?
(Please don't tell me roll back Windows XP)

.NET 3.5 is NOT fully backwards compatible with 2.0. Install 2.0, then reinstall 3.5 and that may fix your problem with that.

Sorry, but Vista include .Net 2.0 already when install vista 64 bit itself.

I tried .Net 2.0 x86(32bit) and x64(64bit) both before I posted first reply.
When x86 installing, it said "You can't install this version in this OS version" and shutdown automatically.
And when x64 ver. installing, then I can see "This OS include that program already" and shutdown...

So there's no way to install x86 version. And I already have .Net 2.0.

Simple fix people. I know this is way to late for the vista crowd, but this applies to the windows 7 crowd as well:
To see the counters of razor with aero enabled themes:

Navigate to your uo client.exe.

Code:

C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Ultima Online 2D Client

Code:

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Ultima Online 2D Client

which ever applies to you.

Right-Click client.exe.

Choose Properties.
Click Compatibility tab
In "Settings" subsection, set the following with a check mark:

Code:

Disable visual themes

and

Code:

Disable desktop composition

Click aplly/ok.

Launch razor, and it will disable aero, giving it the basic theme. When you close uo/razor when you are done, aero is automatically restored.

@razzles, enjoy the dead os and the greater amount of malicious things that happen to xp, and yeah.. have fun with dx9 maximum.
x64 ftw and win7 ftw as well.

I am running windows7, and I've not had any issues related to that so far. Last couple days, I have been unable to launch the client. Either by razor or directly by the client.exe. It would start to boot up and then display a blank box with "fatal:" and an OK button and no other info.

I began to tinker with compatabilities (which, as I stated, were not required earlier) and got the game to load, but now! After a few seconds of being logged in, the client slows down so far as to be unusable. It seems like there may be a memory leak of some kind...

Anyone have similar issues? Please. Halp.

I am running Vista, everytime I start up razor it saids the clintloc.

It then starts up. After it starts up the start up display stays on screen as UO starts up. It saids "Waiting on client to open". UO will open and it just logs into OSI servers. The login screen stays in the middle of my screen as UO is opened.

Once I close UO it will crash Razor.

Anyone know how to fix this?

I am on Vista, I ran as admin, I have the .net frame 1.1 installed like yall said.

I am using UOSA - 4.0.2.1 or whatever the latest is. I can't download the 2d verison it just won't let me.
