Default Razor has a SERIOUS issue

... and it's game-breaking:

you CAN'T login with the 5th character on you account, it just makes razor crash.
to make it even worse, if in uo.cfg there is DefaultChar=4 razor instantly crashes just after having started the client.

i'm using latest razor version and client 5.0.7.0 (same with 5.0.7.1)

ps: what about "last target" item renaming bug? :P not to hurry, just want to know if you know its still there :P

1) Is this Razor crashing or the client? It sounds like the client is crashing but you say Razor. The difference exists, and it is very important.
2) If Razor is crashing you need to post the content of the crash.log file generated when it crashes. If the client is crashing you need to paste the contents of the windows crash box.
3) You need to tell me: What server, What Razor version ("latest" is NOT a version number), What operating system?
4) As you can see from the content of the forums, there are no new posts about last target item renaming. If it is, in fact, still happening then someone should have posted a bug about it. Since they haven't, I can only assume it has been fixed.

That has got to be a problem with either the shard you're playing on, the client version you're using or perhaps both.

We allow 6 characters now and I know there's a few players that use
Razor all the time and none of them have ever had any problems logging in with either their 5th or 6th characters.

1)it's the client. but it only crashes if launched by razor, him alone does not.
2)here it is, attached to the post. the window says :"The instruction 0x00437a2e" referred to memory at "0x009c1de4". Memory could not be read".
3)actually it is a pol server, using ML features but not the 6th character slot, but tbh its strange that could be the server since the crash just happens when launching the client if you put DefaultChar=4 in uo.cfg. razor 1.06.38321, client 5.0.7.0, 5.0.7.1, windowx xp
4)actually i posted it just the day after you published the fix, here's the post Last Target overwrite again :P
it's pretty easy to reproduce: just open the client (fresh opening), choose a character or npc, DONT single click it, just use something with target on him, and you will get the name replaced.

just noticed i didn't had the most recent version, however, both bugs are still there. also i don't understand why razor didn't tell me that a newer version was available (btw i had 1.06.28000 and now 1.06.38321)

But you are the only person ever reporting this error, so it is not a Razor issue either. Reinstall your client.

hm... i just reinstalled ML and the problem is gone. however, i absolutely don't understand why it happened. infact, taking my old desktop folder, mul files, uo.cfg and client doesn't make the problem reappear.

do you have an idea of why this can happen?

No I don't know what would cause that problem. I would assume it was related to the desktop folders, but since you tested that, there's really nothing else I can think of.
