Default Random crashing?

I have no clue what this one is. I'm saying razor for reasons below.

Now then, the problem. UOGamers, sitting in town, with a macro running. I minimize razor to lurk the forums here, and I get a sudden crash message. However, when I attempt to log back in, I crash on login. But, if I log in via UOGateway, no crash. Soon as I log back in, the crashing stops. The odd thing is, it always happens in town, when I'm running a macro. My client is 5.0.0a (It refuses to let me patch past that) and razor at 1.6. This is really annoying, because by the time I get back on, something catastrophic has already happened. I don't know how many other users experience this, but judging from the number of posts on this, I'd say I'm the only one, or near so.

Also, it only seems to happen on Hybrid.

My OS is Windows XP SP2 and its updated as to about December 21'st. I don't like Microshit on my computer. Which reminds me, is there a way to run this in Linux, without decompiling and throwing in mono support?

I would guess this is a client problem and patching might fix it. You can download UO (for free) and reinstall and then it should be able to patch all the way up.

Thats the problem, I've re-installed it upwards of 5 times. it doesn't let me patch past 5.0.0a. It says "Error" halfway through an installing bar of 5.0.0b.

Ok when you remove it from add and remove section after that it takes the ultima online program out of add remove section but it always leaves in program files a ultima online folder you gotta delete that folder as well then install ultima online again.

I don't mean to sound negitive, but I've done that. I've uninstalled anything to do with UO (Razor, UOGateway, etc) with exception to reformatting my computer. I'd do that with vigor, but unfortunately, I can't seem to find my OS disk.

DAMN YOU WINDOWS DAMN YOU TO HELL!!!

then maybe it is your install disk - what version is it? and is it worn, etc - you might be getting a bad install and it does not see it until that patch version

or

if it is not SE or better - might not be able to patch higher than that (AOS might - but i do not think so)

you can get ML for free from Free Software Downloads and Software Reviews - Download.com

Its downloaded from that site.
Theres no worms, etc, etc.

But, I did find my install disk, so I might re-install windows. Shit, that might stop some of these BSOD's.
